Blood Is Getting A Remaster!

Atari and Nightdive will update, modernise the horror FPS from 1997.

Nightdive Studios will do the remastering work, and they have experience in it: previously, they did the same to Forsaken, System Shock, or Turok 2: Seeds of Evil. The game, which was originally developed by Monolith Productions, used the Build Engine (Duke Nukem 3D also utilised it), and in it, we controlled Caleb, an undead, who used conventional and occultic weapons to destroy an army of undead and other various demonic creatures, including Chernobog, the main antagonist.

The remastered version will take features from Nightdive’s KEX engine, and, according to Daniel Grayshon, the producer, „only minor updates” will be necessary. Still, the Blood remaster will support both DirectX and Vulkan.

Nowadays, it seems to be a trend to bring back games from the 90s to work on modern systems (GOG has been doing it for the past few years) – the Blood remaster, which will be up on both Steam and GOG, will have more details announced „in the coming weeks.”

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
