Did Counter-Strike’s Co-Creator Pay A Minor For Sex?

Jess Cliffe is in a tough situation.

Recently, we wrote about how Jess Cliffe, one of the creators of Counter-Strike, was arrested. There are new updates about the case. KIRO 7 reports that he paid a minor for sex, and he also recorded one encounter on video without consent.

Official documents call the minor as AC at the age of 16. She met Cliffe on SekingArrangement.com, and she claims that she met Cliffe at least three times, receiving three hundred dollars per hour.

Ars Technica writes that Cliffe’s bail was reduced from the original 250 thousand dollars to just (?) 150 thousand. Cliffe’s attorney, Zachary Wagnild, said in court that Cliffe (who did not speak) „was not looking for underage women and had no idea this woman was underage.” The judge, based on the findings presented in court, said that Cliffe is „a risk to the community.”

Cliffe received a no-contact order with AC until February 23, and Valve has suspended him. It won’t be surprising if the case doesn’t end here yet.
