Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War: The Scandalous DLC Case Is Now Over [VIDEO]

Finally, the Forthog Orc Slayer DLC‘s story reaches its end.

Originally, the DLC, which would have included the recently passed Mike Forthog Forgey to make him everlasting in the game, would have cost money, but it seemed that only select states of the United States would have allowed the money from the sales go towards the Forgey family. Warner and Monolith had enough of the situation, and they issued a statement:

„We now recognize that tying our donation to sales of the DLC was not the best way to achieve our goal of offering financial support to the family and creating a lasting memorial to Michael Forgey. We sincerely apologize to the fans and to the Forgey family for the confusion we created.

To ensure the two original aims are still met and to provide transparency to the community, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment will instead donate directly to the Forgey family. The DLC will be withdrawn from sale and will be a free download for owners of Middle-earth: Shadow of War.” They also stated that all profits worldwide would have been donated, but they didn’t talk about it until now.

You can still directly support Forgey’s family here. There’s also another tribe introduction video, focusing on the Warmonger Tribe. If there’s war nearby, they will show up, no matter what.

Middle-Earth: Shadow of War is out on October 10 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
