Tekken 7’s TV Commercial Is… Brutal [VIDEO]

On home soil, Bandai Namco will promote their upcoming game on TV, too.

Seeing major video games getting advertised in television is common throughout the world, although it’s not happening that much in a few Eastern European countries, such as Hungary, and even then, it’s mostly just Sony pulling their strings. In Japan, however, those ads have shown up as early as the second half of the 1980s (!), which means that Tekken 7 getting a short, fifteen-second commercial is no surprise. (The pistol in it, though, is another story altogether.)

There’s another video as well, which introduces the characters – unfortunately, both trailers are Japanese, but you might understand what’s happening without understanding the language. (Still, those glasses towards the end are… weird.)

Tekken 7 will launch on June 2 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and the home version will be based on the July 2016-launched, expanded Fated Retribution arcade edition.
