Now, 2K officially confirmed that yes, Mafia III is indeed in development and its announcement trailer will be shown on Gamescom to the public. No other details are known at the moment, just one image was shown to us. Going by the cars on the screenshot, it looks like the game might be having its story set in the 70s or 80s, which is basically the Italian-American mafia’s one of the highest eras. If this is what 2K Czech is going for, we are in for some good times. Seeing how Mafia 2 was out in 2010, it seems that the third episode will follow the metronomical release schedule: the first game got a 2004 release on consoles, so 04/10/16 is very much on the cards…
