Hindus ask not to trivialize their religion in Beyond Good & Evil 2

The group of activists is willing to cooperate with Ubisoft for that purpose.

The very active Universal Society of Hinduism has put the focus of its latest statement on the expected development of Beyond Good & Evil 2. Without showing, for the moment, any criticism, they have urged Ubisoft to represent the Hindu deities, the temples, the traditions, terminology and concepts of Hindu religion and culture with respect and precision in the aforementioned action and science fiction video game.

Rajan Zed, whom some will already know for his criticism of Dragon Ball Super or for his complaints to the MOBA of Hi-Rez Studios SMITE, hopes that the final production captained by Michel Ancel authentically represents each of the above-mentioned aspects instead of falling in a “fantasy or reimagined” characterization of the ancient Hindu scriptures. In fact, the activist went further in his request and offered to cooperate with the gala company to ensure careful treatment of his faith. Zed does not expect problems with Ubisoft given the team of professionals in charge of the French company and, in addition, claims to be committed to freedom of expression but adds that “faith is something sacred and attempts to trivialize damage devotees”.

The long-awaited adventure of Ubisoft Montpellier will have in Ganesha City one of its main environments, which as it has been seen in its trailers has various references to Hindu culture, either in the form of murals or large sculptures.
