God Of War: No More Magnifying Glass Needed For Subtitles! [VIDEO]

Okay, that might be a little exaggeration, but SIE Santa Monica’s game indeed has smaller than usual subtitles.

On Twitter, there were already complaints about God of War‘s text sizes, which is why the developers released a new, 7.4 GB patch (1.12). It „focuses on text for map, goals, codex and the resources tab of the UI menus,” which means you should have no issues with reading them, maybe even on a 4K television in case you own a PlayStation 4 Pro. You can find this slider here:

The game will also get expanded a bit. Not with DLC, though – there’s going to a Photo mode. PlayStation’s Twitter account wrote that it’s going to arrive after the game launched in the form of a free update. That means we don’t know yet when Kratos and Atreus could be parts of artistic screenshots made in-game with the Photo mode.

In the United Kingdom, unsurprisingly, God of War launched on the top of the charts, with 35% more physical sales than God of War III’s launch sales in 2010. It already topped Shadow of the Colossus as the best-selling PS4-exclusive, and it even has the best launch in the franchise’s history, too.

Far Cry 5 slipped back to second place, and the third position is taken by another debutant: Yakuza 6: The Song of Life claimed the last place on the roster (also breaking the Yakuza records, too). FIFA 18 is still up there with its 4th place, Grand Theft Auto V still can’t fall out of the top 10 (10th), and Call of Duty: WWII is not in the top ten.

Congratulations to Sony Interactive Entertainment Santa Monica.
