Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Sells Below Expectations!

The PlayStation 4-exclusive Final Fantasy spin-off, which launched in late January, is far from its goals.

Square Enix‘s financial report has a question. Quotation incoming: „It seems sales of “DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY NT” are currently below target, but will you be able to make a profit on the title?” The answer follows: „Initial sales have not reached the level we had first expected, but since this is a game geared toward multiplayer gaming experience, post-launch initiatives are key. We expect that repeat sales will grow by our hosting events and other initiatives going forward.” The last sentence likely means Dissidia tournaments and such.

So far, the game is thus not performing well, however, as ResetEra also pointed out, one of the successful mobile titles include Dissidia for Square Enix!

Will the arcade-to-PlayStation 4 game hit its target? The answer is likely going to be “no” – we wouldn’t be surprised if it got ported to the PC.
