Paragon: Game Over Because Of Another Game!

Epic decided to leave Paragon behind to concentrate on another game.

Epic Games‘ announcement says that the free-to-play PlayStation 4/PC MOBA game, Paragon, is closing. „After careful consideration, and many difficult internal debates, we feel there isn’t a clear path for us to grow Paragon into a MOBA that retains enough players to be sustainable. We didn’t execute well enough to deliver on the promise of Paragon. We have failed you — despite the team’s incredibly hard work — and we’re sorry,” the statement says.

The developers offer complete refunds to all players who have ever bought something in Paragon with real money. PC players, if they link their Epic Games account, can ask for a refund here, and PlayStation 4 players should link (or create) their Epic Games account here.

Paragon is closing on April 26, but the servers will stay online until April 28. The last three days will have degrading matchmaking times and quality. What is Epic going to do now? Continue focusing on Fortnite…
