Resident Evil 2 Remake: An Announcement At The End Of The Month?

Capcom might be playing with us.

The Resident Evil 2 remake was announced in August 2015, but since then, we haven’t heard much, if anything, of this project. This silence is about to be on the same level as Capcom’s Dark Souls called Deep Down. (Does anyone remember that game?)

Let’s take a look at the Japanese Resident Evil (excuse us, Biohazard in that region) Twitter account – the header has space for one more game on the left. Sure, you could be saying it’s just a joke, but what about the English Resident Evil account‘s profile picture? That looks similar to what we have seen in the first Resident Evil games.

Are you still not thinking it’s suspicious? How about we tell you that Resident Evil 2 launched on January 21, 1998, in the United States? We’re only one week from the 20th anniversary! (Japan is close, too: they’ll hit that date on January 29. Europe? May… let’s not even go into that.) It cannot be a coincidence.

If it is, Capcom is just playing with us…

Anikó, our news editor and communication manager, is more interested in the business side of the gaming industry. She worked at banks, and she has a vast knowledge of business life. Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
