Is Obsidian Working On A New Fallout? New Vegas 2? Van Buren?

There are some suspicious signs around Obsidian.

Chris Avellone was formerly a designer at Interplay, Obsidian, and Black Isle. On his Facebook, he changed his profile picture, which shows Pipboy with the caption „I missed you so much.”

Avellone formerly worked on Fallout 2; then he was the lead designer of the canceled Fallout: Van Buren until the rug was pulled from under him. Since then, he didn’t quit the gaming industry as he was a co-founder of Obsidian, and he was involved in multiple games – for example, he was the lead designer of Fallout: New Vegas.

If there is, in fact, a new Fallout being developed, it’d likely use the same engine as Fallout 4. If it were related to Van Buren, the game’s location would likely be again the southwestern portion of the United States. Let’s just hope that Avellone didn’t change his profile picture just for kicks.

We’ll see about that…

Anikó, our news editor and communication manager, is more interested in the business side of the gaming industry. She worked at banks, and she has a vast knowledge of business life. Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
