Dismissals in Volition after the low sales of Agents of Mayhem

Some 30 developers have been fired. Among them Dan Cermak, heavyweight.

Agents of Mayhem’s reception in stores do not seem to have been as warm as in the press, and Volition, its developer, will have to pay for the broken dishes. According to various sources who have gone to the Kotaku portal, the firm would have fired some 30 developers in the last week, including its general manager Dan Cermak.

Deep Silver, the publisher of the video game, has not spoken about the current news, but it seems that we would be facing one of the most delicate moments that the company has spent after Saints Row. It was founded in 1996, was part of THQ between 2000 and 2013 and was acquired by Deep Silver after the bankruptcy of the American firm.

Agents of Mayhem hit stores on August 18. It can be played on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
