Xbox One X: Asset Downloads Depending On Console

There will be some backlash by those who plan to use the Xbox One X on a full HD television.

The Xbox One X, which will come in November, will offer you to play games on 4K at 60 FPS. However, you’ll need 4K assets, such as textures, to get the best quality visuals, meaning games like Forza Motorsport 7 might be downloading as much as 100 gigabytes (!!!) of data. A Microsoft rep told Stevivor that the Xbox One X will download 4K assets if available, regardless of the TV you use for the console. With the Xbox One S, it’s not an issue: 1080p files, no exceptions.

Microsoft is trying to find its way: at the E3, they announced the backward compatibility expanding into the original Xbox titles aside from the currently supported 385 Xbox 360 games. Dave McCarthy told GameSpot that the compatibility list will be smaller than the X360’s, and they don’t know the amount of supported games yet.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
