MOVIE NEWS – Castlevania will join Netflix in the shape of an animated series.

Back in February, we wrote about how Castlevania is planned to hit Netflix, and now, we can also tell you when the series will launch. The first episode will premiere on July 7. The first season will consist of four thirty-minute episodes, and the second season is going to debut in 2018.

Quoting the description from Netflix’s page, „Inspired by the classic video game series, Castlevania is a dark medieval fantasy following the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepe himself. The animated series is from Frederator Studios, a Wow! Unlimited Media company, written by best-selling author and comic-book icon Warren Ellis and executive produced by Warren Ellis, Kevin Kolde, Fred Seibert and Adi Shankar.”

So, two and a half months left until Frederator’s work shows up. We can take that.
