PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale 2 In Development?!

Super Smash Bros. a la Sony – is the sequel coming shortly?

Gamepur wrote about how the two-dimensional, four character brawling game’s sequel is under development and is slated for a 2018 release.

30+ characters on the roster by default with 20+ maps open from the start in Battle Royale 2. We can expect a lot of customization options, similar to Injustice 2, although it would be only for cosmetic differences! The online game modes would include King of the Hill, Ranked 1v1, and Spectator mode among others.

A big difference from the original (launched in) would be the change where players can kill the other characters (such as Cloud, Crash, Spyro, and Lara Croft) with more moves than just the supers. There will be more items than the first Battle Royale – one of them will be similar to Smash Bros.’ Assist Trophy, which means we could summon other PlayStation characters.

Take all these with a grain of salt, as the information originates from 4chan. However, if there’s going to be a filing for trademark by Sony in May – and that’s what the forum user said -, then it’s going to be a legit leak by an insider! Let’s wait for the registration; then we can see a reveal at E3. (Or maybe at the PlayStation Experience at the end of the year? That might be too late.)
