Marvel Heroes Omega’s Closed Beta On PlayStation 4 Dated

Sony’s console is at an advantage.

The new Marvel Heroes game was revealed about two weeks ago, and we already know that its closed beta will launch on April 21 on PlayStation 4. The Xbox One version has no date yet.

The developers’ plan is to release the closed beta first, before transitioning into a buy-in early access model. It would be followed by an open beta; then the official launch would come. This approach is typical of free-to-play games. Not a surprise. Same goes for the following Founder’s Packs:

Avengers Founder’s Pack

Deadpool Founder’s Pack

Guardians of the Galaxy Founder’s Pack

Spider-Man Founder’s Pack

War Machine Founder’s Pack

X-Men Founder’s Pack

You can buy these from tomorrow on the PlayStation Store and the game’s website, although neither have links yet. PlayStation Plus subscribers will get discounts on in-game currency purchases (Gs), limited-time exclusive access to select heroes, as well as the Man Without Fear costume for Daredevil.

The progress will be wiped at the end of the closed beta. However, the Gs purchased will be refunded when the open beta starts probably during the summer.
