Starcraft Remastered Is Real, Blizzard Confirmed It [VIDEO]

Blizzard is visually overhauling its still quite popular game.

The rumors that talked about Starcraft Remastered twice have been confirmed: 4K resolution, 1080p cutscenes, new audio, full Blizzard App (formerly known as Battle.net) support – these are just a few updates to the game that arrives in the summer. It will keep the original game’s gameplay and balance.

Next week, Starcraft: Brood War will get a 1.18 patch, and the old game, along with the expansion, will become free, and not free-to-play. You’ll be able to just download the game and have fun with it, and it will support Remastered‘s players in multiplayer and vica versa. You won’t lose most of the playerbase when you update, in fact, you’ll find more players to fight against, which is a nice move by Blizzard.

Until then, have a trailer and a few old/new image comparisons.
