Brian Fargo To Retire After Wasteland 3

Without Fargo, Wasteland or Fallout wouldn’t exist as they do.

Brian Fargo is a veteran in the video game industry – his first game was made in 1981 (The Demon’s Forge), and since then, he was involved in other franchises, such as The Bard’s Tale, Wasteland, or Fallout. Fargo, currently 54 years old, has announced that he is working on his last game before hanging up the keys.

Fargo told Eurogamer that Wasteland 2 and Torment: Tides of Numenera came out great, but after he’s done with Wasteland 3, he believed this is the right time to announce that he will retire in 2019 to finally take a break from game development.

Fargo, as the founder of Interplay and inXile, cannot be overlooked in the industry, and seeing how the latter is profitable, he thinks it has a bright future ahead. Let’s just hope that he will find the perfect successor at the helm of inXile.
