Titanfall: Frontline: It Never Got Past The Beta, It’s Over!

The first mobile Titanfall game quickly ran into a dead end…

The game’s Facebook page says that the developers (Particle City) have learned a lot during the beta, but they don’t believe that the experience was ready to „deliver the intense, action-packed gameplay synonymous with Titanfall.” The servers are going to be shut down on January 20.

This shutdown doesn’t mean that there won’t be any more Titanfall-based games on iOS/Android, though: Respawn and Nexon have struck a deal in October 2015 for multiple games, and the Facebook post also says that more concepts will be lifted over from the unfortunate Frontline to future games in the franchise.

Is it happening because of Titanfall 2 not selling well? (Electronic Arts has not published any sales data for Respawn’s shooter…)
