Respawn’s shooter will expand with an extremely quick game mode.

The developers wrote in a blog post that Live Fire, a 6v6, Pilot-only game mode, will end in no time. Blink once, and you might lose!

In this mode, your aim is to defeat the Pilots of the other team or to keep a neutral flag in the round. It’s going to be a best-of-five mode, so win three out of five rounds to be victorious. The twist is that one round takes only ONE minute.

For this mode, two new maps called Stacks and Meadow will arrive – Respawn describes them as „tight, enclosed death boxes.” The Coliseum mode gets the Columns map, there will be Commander intros for each faction, and a new Pilot execution animation is also on the docket for Titanfall 2.

Don’t look for your wallet or credit card: Respawn provides all updates and DLCs for free, which isn’t a common thing nowadays, especially with Electronic Arts-published titles.

Respawn is also working on a redesign of the multiplayer interface: we can just choose the game modes we like, and we will not be thrown into one that we didn’t want to join.
