Halo Wars 2 Gets A Physical Release Via THQ Nordic

The new Halo strategy won’t be available just digitally on PC.

THQ Nordic picked up a deal with Microsoft Studios and 343 Industries to launch a physical edition of Halo Wars 2 on Windows 10. As this game is part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program, purchasing it will provide you access to the digital version of the game on Xbox One.

You can get Halo Wars 2 in two versions: the Standard Edition is just the base game for 60 dollars/euros, and then there’s the Ultimate Edition for 80 bucks/euros.

This version will grant you a four-day early access (which means you can start playing from February 17 instead of 21), give you the Definitive Edition of the first Halo Wars (native Windows 10/Xbox One support with all the DLCs, 4K on PC, improved graphics and achievements), and the Season Pass. It will give extra content for at least six months after the release with new Leaders (abilities change during multi matches), Units (for multiplayer), Blitz cards, and campaign missions.

At least we have a publisher that doesn’t want to bury physical releases just yet.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
