UPDATE – Nintendo Already Knows How Much It Must Sell For The New Zelda To Be Profitable!

UPDATE: Nintendo has set a somewhat high sales expectation towards their new The Legend of Zelda game, The Breath of the Wild.

The game, which is set to launch next year on the Nintendo Wii U, and the NX (the latter one is rumored to have a reveal in September), should get two million copies sold, and 300.000 of them should be sold in the local Japanese market.

As the new Zelda game (having been in development for roughly five years)  is coming to two platforms, and one of them is a new hardware, it makes sense to have higher expectations. Nintendo hopes to bring the fight with the NX to the PS4 NEO and Xbox Project Scorpio.

ORIGINAL: Thanks to GameXplain, we get to see forty minutes of new, direct feed quality gameplay of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of Wild, which is slated for a 2017 release on the Wii U and the NX. This game has received several awards as one of the best, if not the best game on E3 by many websites, such as IGN, GameSpot, and Eurogamer. Not a surprise; the game seems to hook people quite quickly.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild had an unusual, as well as unexpected reference to something you might have not even spotted.

The new Zelda game, which finally got christened, got a trailer with an item that looks harmless at first sight. However, it looks similar to the potential controller of Nintendo NX! You can see it in the trailer at 01:58, but we also included a screencap, and a patent filed by Nintendo two years (!) ago for its Quality of Life program. The Magnesis Rune, and the Quality of Life-related controller looks almost the same down to a tee.

As Breath of the Wild is going to be available for both the Wii U and the NX, it seems to be a suspicious inclusion in the trailer. (Otherwise, why would the Magnesis Rune be shown?) Link, who will be able to eat and hunt animals to lower his hunger, might have just teased the future right in front of us.
