Red Dead Redemption Remaster on PS4/Xbox One, RDR 2 release date?!

Rockstar has hit the jackpot with Red Dead Redemption back in 2010. The Western shooter, which launched on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, still waits for a sequel as do we. However, despite Rockstar being ominously silent about this title, there might be something brewing behind their closed doors…

One of Rockstar‘s ex-devs has sent an anonymous email to Frag Hero. In this email, he states Red Dead Redemption 2 is in development. In fact, the title would be out by fall 2017. Take-Two, the publisher, plans to announce the game officially during 2016’s E3 with the title Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends of the West. This western shooter game has been in development for four years, and we would have more than one playable character a la Grand Theft Auto V.

Many players would like to check out the first Red Dead Redemption game on PS4 or X1 (not via backwards compatibility on the Xbox, which was removed in less than a day!) – apparently Rockstar is making a remastered version that should be out by the end of 2016.

However, take all this with a grain of salt. Unless Rockstar or Take-Two officially announces these, we should not believe anything at all, right?

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
