DriveClub is going Hardcore! Professionals beware!

Evolution StudiosDriveClub took a slow start (not to mention the insanely delayed PlayStation Plus version of the game), but they are getting their act together at a rapid pace. They didn’t drop their PlayStation 4-exclusive‘s support just months after release – instead, they continuously put more and more content and expansions into it. This is going to be the case with the February update, too.

Paul Rustchynsky, the game’s director, uploaded a thirty-second clip to Twitter. In it, he presents us the new Hardcore mode. No traction control. No stability control. No assists. Only the player’s skill can keep the car on the road. They could have gone flat out, though: how about only a manual transmission, cockpit view and no HUD in this mode? Now that would be hardcore to the max.

Interesting tidbit: Rustchynsky is using the Ferrari FXX-K car in the video. Is it an underhanded punch at Kunos Simulazioni’s Assetto Corsa, which will feature the same car on the box art?

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
