Crash Bandicoot, like you have never seen him before! [VIDEO]

Crash has been pretty much the unofficial mascot of the Sony PlayStation for sometime, especially in the second half of the nineties. There’s been quite some demand for a new episode, or perhaps a reboot for several years now, but Sony has just been teasing and it seems unlikely the marsupial will come back. Activision, the owner of the license doesn’t do anything either.

But here’s something that only a very few people close to the development have seen back then. It’s uploaded to YouTube by none other than the game’s producer, David Siller. Before the game got put together, Universal actually produced a hand-drawn, two-dimensional animation, which would perfectly work as a cartoon intro.

Really, the first segment would have been perfect for a Saturday morning cartoon, especially with the singing over it, while we see the prelude to the first game coming into animation. The end segment shows a what if?-kind of ending for the game, featuring Neo Cortex.

It’s quite interesting, it actually reminds us of the Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog cartoon: wonky, chaotic, but somewhat adorable!

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
