Grand Theft Auto 6 confirmed by Rockstar! They have ideas for GTA VI

Only a little more than a year has passed since Rockstar’s hit game “Grand Theft Auto 5” was released only released just over a year ago, back in September 2013. But that hasn’t stopped the rumors that the company is already in development of the next iteration. In fact new reports suggest that Rockstar has over “45 years’ worth of ideas” for “Grand Theft Auto 6” and the company has already started development on the next iteration of the hit game.

GTA Online is Rockstar’ focus following the release of Grand Theft Auto V, but the studio is already brewing on the possibilities of Grand Theft Auto VI. “We’ve got about 45 years’ worth of ideas we want to do,” Rockstar president Leslie Benzies told Develop. “We don’t know what GTA 6 will be, but we’ve got some ideas.”

Benzies gave some more giving details about the idea saying, “It comes from the idea first. Where is it going to be set is the first question. Then that defines the missions; you’re doing different things in LA than in New York or Miami. The map and story get worked up together, and the story is a basic flow of how it works out so you can layer the missions in.”

Still this is far from being an evidence that Rockstar is already in development for Grand Theft Auto 6. It is worth mentioning that by the end of “Grand theft Auto IV’s” development cycle Rockstar had started conceiving what would eventually become Grand Theft Auto 5. Plus according to iDigital Times Rockstar has historically released multiple GTA titles per console. The PlayStation 2 had tons of Rockstar titles while both GTA 4 and GTA 5 were both part of the PS3 and Xbox 360 era. So we should definitely be seeing some GTA games for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.

Bearing in mind how “open” the Grand Theft Auto series and genre is, there are a tons of different ways that Rockstar could take Grand Theft Auto 6. To even speculate as to how GTA 6 will be different from GTA 5 is a bit silly, but still we know that the game will almost definitely be coming at some point.

It will be interesting to see what Grand Theft Auto 6 can do on the new consoles considering that even the next gen GTA 5 was still limited by the Xbox 360 and PS3’s hardware at its core. We can rest assured, that GTA 6 will blow us away, that is almost a guarantee.

By the end of Grand Theft Auto 4′s development cycle, Rockstar had started thinking about what would eventually become Grand Theft Auto 5 — but the development itself wouldn’t begin for two years after the fourth installment. Benzies said, “It comes from the idea first. Where is it going to be set is the first question. Then that defines the missions; you’re doing different things in LA than in New York or Miami. The map and story get worked up together, and the story is a basic flow of how it works out so you can layer the missions in.”

Benzies also told that Rockstar was thinking about a trio of characters for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, which tied into its three separate cities, “but it didn’t work from a tech point of view because the three characters need three times as much memory, three types of animation, and so on.”

GTA Online had some significant issues this week, which Rockstar is resolving at this very moment. The multiplayer side of GTA 5 will almost certainly keep the studio in the current-gen spotlight in the coming months.

Released on 17 September 2013 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles, the fifteenth title in the Grand Theft Auto series, GTA V, quickly becoming the fastest-selling entertainment product of all time, making over $1 billion in just three days.

Seriously? All GTA V DLC so far has been free, and as I have read heists when available will also be a free download it seems a bit inconsiderate you choose to boycott a series over something you get for nothing.

Really though, fuck that guy xS. GTA V is absolutely amazing. Everything (which is a ton of content) has been free since 2013. If you looked up a fucking article for once instead of being such a negative prick. You would find every time rockstar got close to getting heists put together in just the right way, somthing would fuck up and ruin everything, and they would have to start from scratch. There original thoughts were that they were going to take a template from the story missions, but that just doesnt fucking work when you have to have 4 people, all at the same time, feeling like they HAVE to be a part of this mission. The get away driver cant sit there for 15 mins and just drive people away. EVERYONE needs to feel like they are pivotal to the success of the heist. You put it together you fuck.
